Why Use a Verified BAR Member for your Removal

The British Association of Removers has a history of over a century. Since it’s formation as The Furniture Warehousemen and Removers’ Assoication was founded on 3rd May 1900, the British Association of Removers (BAR) has regulated the services and interests of removals and storage businesses ever since.

More importantly, it fights for the rights of removals customers. The removals industry has developed and modernised since 1900, especially so in the last couple of decades, so the BAR has had to develop with the times to ensure the good standards of removals companies.

To maintain BAR verification, there are regular checks of each removal company that is either an existing member of the BAR or would like to become a member. This is achieved by maintain the BAR Code of Practice which aims to ensure that an efficient and professional removals service is provided by all of its members to each customer.

The customer is the focus of the BAR and each of its members. In the unlikely event that something goes wrong with your removal, moving with a BAR member provides you with the independent support that you might need. The BAR can act as a support system for any complaint or issue and will act independently to help the customer where possible.
