The Leeds’ streets we all want to move to in 2022

According to Zoopla there are now 55 streets across Yorkshire where the average house will cost you more than a million pounds. That’s an increase of 16, or 41 per cent, in a year! Given how much house prices continue to rise – 3.4 per cent in the last quarter, which is the highest rise in 15 years – it’s a list more streets might be joining.

So, if you’re planning a move to or around an LS postcode (if you are, we know an excellent removal company in Leeds), and you’re looking for the most expensive locations, where should you be heading?

Manor House Lane in Alwoodley commands the highest property values in the city, with an average price tag of £1.619 million. Near to Leeds Grammar School and situated with lovely views, close to spectacular countryside – you can see why. Roundhay Park Lane follows very closely behind at £1.618 million, with the obvious benefits of being next to one of Leeds’ most well-known and much-loved recreation areas. The picturesque, tree-lined Ling Lane in Scarcroft, with an average price of £1.544 million, takes third place in the city.

Just slightly outside Leeds, but still with an LS postcode – the street with the highest prices in West Yorkshire is Linton Lane in Wetherby, where a house will set you back on average £1.791 million. The street is reportedly popular with Leeds United footballers.
